It is very noticeable just how much you start to craft and feel like crafting once the weather turns, and you are cozy and comfy in a spot of sunlight on a chilly Fall day.
That is how is feels to me at least. During summer I did craft, but I think a lot less. Now I am on a roll again.
I have cast on a quick hat, I think I want this one for myself.

Cabled Beanie
And I even stitched this little kit that I had. I had not done embroidery for a while, and loved it. I tried to keep the black lines of the design to give it a little different look. Normally I cover the design lines and wash them out. But I think this works.

The crocket “Woodpecker” blanket is coming along too, I should even be using it this winter when the really colder weather arrives.
That beanie looks great…I am trying to master cables at the moment.
Such beautiful and neat stitchery too 😊
🙂 Thank you. I love knitting cables, and in a beanie they just seem so much easier and after.
I enjoyed the stitching. It was great to make something again.
Your embroidery is beautiful! I love the hat:) The cables are so even!
I think I craft more as the days get shorter and the weather starts to turn. There are so many distractions outside when the weather is warm and the day is long and bright.
🙂 Thank you. I love knitting cables, and a hat goes so quickly.
I agree, one does spend more time outdoors when the weather is good. I do too, and love to take the dog out and about. So in winter we hibernate a bit and get to craft more. 🙂
That hat will be great with that pompom! A very modern look! And I LOVE the black lines on the embroidery – you are right, it gives it a very different look, and a much nicer one!
Thank you. It was a different way to embroider for me at least, and I am glad it worked so well. I will be stitching more, that is for sure.
🙂 Can not wait to finish the hat. Winter is here and it is just the right time.
oh, is it getting really cold? Luckily., hats go quickly!
It is not so cold here yet, and probably dont get as cold as your part of the world. We wear them just because we can, and want to look pretty too. 🙂
That’s a better reason than have to our our ears freeze!
Finishing just in time. This morning is wet and very cold here in Johannesburg. Finished on the weekend and wearing it. 🙂
So glad you got it done in time!! Hope there are photos of the FO!
🙂 Just in time and ready for the cold weather.
Love the embroidery
🙂 Thank you so very much, always love to hear from you. xx
My crafting game most definitely picks up once temps dip. Once things warm up though, all I want to do is potter around in the garden 😉
Indeed, in the warmer weather it is stunning to be outdoors and take it all in. I then make up in winter craftwise and hibernate a bit. Enjoy your warmer days there, must be feeling a lot like summer now. 🙂
Nice embroidery. I would not have guessed the lines were there. I thought it was part of the look – very nice!
🙂 Thank you. I enjoyed the piece, now to make a few more I think.
Love this little stitchery Joey, it’s adorable. And of course the beanie is fabulous, got to love autumn!
Thank you. You got me stitching again, after the little cross stitch kit I am on the roll again.
Lol. The beanie is just in time. Finished it this weekend, and today it wet and very cold here in Johannesburg. 🙂
I am glad you are getting to crafting a little more now that your weather is cooling. The hat is going to be awesome. I look forward to seeing your finished woodpecker blanket. Your embroidery looks beautiful and I think the black lines are wonderful, too. Enjoy your cool weather knitting 🙂
🙂 Thank you. The blanket is going quickly. I enjoy working on it. It should be done in no time and definitely in time for winter use. 🙂
I am slowly getting to more stitching, even if just very small projects. I am very happy with this little sample.
You take care and look after yourself and enjoy Spring. xx
Your embroidery is beautiful and your hat is going to be so cozy
🙂 Thank you so much. xx
