After my return from vacation, I also received my beautiful package in the #Stitchingsanta2017 Swap, that was all coordinated by the lovely Sheila (Sewchet)
I am always amazed at just how well people can get to know a person by reading a person’s blog. 🙂 I had loads of fun putting together my swap buddy’s package, and making things for her. I always love to hear about their surprise when they receive a package from my part of the world.
It is even more fun receiving a package with foreign stamps and packaging. 🙂 This year my package came from way “down under” and across the big pond. Yes, all the way from Australia. The lovely Emma of emmacraftdesign surprised me!
A really fun package to open! I received yarn that has possum fur in, how amazing is that. And the cutest project bag, just look at that little critter. And stitch markers, with a little marker that she made herself, that looks just like Miekie!
She also crocheted my the cutest small Manta Ray, that I fell in love with immediately. I have put the little ray in my car so I can have it around all the time. I fell in love with Mantarays while on vacation in Cape Town and visited the Two Oceans Aquarium, where I spent hours watching them as they glided over my head in their huge tank.
Emma also sent me a small cross stitch kit, that was just the right size for me to kick off 2018. 🙂 My first project for this year!
Thank you Sheila and Emma for a wonderful swap.
Wonderful package of goodies you received there. The yarn with Possum fur in it sounds very interesting. Is it soft? Can’t wait to see what you knit up with it. What a cute little stitch! You already have one project under your belt for 2018. You are awesome!
I was so pleasantly surprised by my package. I loved all the goodies. Yes the yarn is mainly merino wool, with a small amount of possum added in. It is very soft and not scratchy. I am so happy she did not send blue, as I appreciate the 2 different colours, I can splash out in something different this winter.
I hope to keep up the good work and keep my projects going, but sometimes it just gets to busy and I miss my crafts then.
Thank you, you are just as awesome. 🙂 You inspire me to craft even better.
How exciting to get an Australian parcel. Lovely gifts – although a bit worried about the possum fur – I hope they’re harmed. Adore the manta ray.
Thank you. It was very exciting.
Thinking about the fur too now. I will need to look into that for sure. Thanks.
Sorry didn’t mean to worry you.
🙂 Of course not. I appreciate your input.
🙂
I love this swap package and your little mini cross stitch. It makes me want to dig some of mine out of hiding
It was a great swap. I enjoyed the mini cross stitch. I want to make bigger items, but I think the smaller ones are an easier start. 🙂 You should definitely work on yours too. xx
I can’t believe you’ve done the cross stitch so quickly, they seem to take forever, small or otherwise! Possum fur sounds interesting and the miniature Miekie is to die for!
That mini Miekie looks exactly like Miekie. It is adorable. Cutest marker ever.
Indeed, I did the cross stitch. I think it was because it was a small one it inspired me to start on it for 2018. I really hope it is the first of many, I enjoyed it very much. I want to maybe later make it part of a bigger bag or purse. It is just the right size. 🙂
