After a lovely long vacation, visiting Cape Town and a game lodge in the far north-eastern parts of my country, I am slowly getting back to my normal routine.
I had the most wonderful Christmas time with family, and we got to spend the day in the sun and enjoying the very warm weather. The cool water in the pool made all the difference.
But of course, December is Christmas swap time. I did a local swap, the #SAFestiveswap and got the most gorgeous package from Nicole (Divine Designs Crochet) 🙂 She knows how to spoil someone.
SA Festive Swap 2017
I got beautiful lace yarn, and sparkly crochet cotton, mini skeins, a notebook and pretty butterflies (that I am already using) teas, bathsalts, treats, scissors, stitchmarkets, handmade decorations, a project baggie, and Miekie got her favourite treats too. I even got colouring in sheets, that I am taking to work for those times when I need to focus on something else.

Your vacation sounds wonderful with family and sun and warm temps. Right now is -12 with the wind chill and boy is that wind brutal! I am so looking forward to Spring in how many days? Ugh. Can’t come quick enough for me. Reading about the pool has me shivering right now, LOL. You received a wonderful gift package. That green yarn is so beautiful! I don’t know what has happened to me. I never used to like the color green, but the last few months I find myself gravitating to green everything! Can’t wait to see what you create with that luscious green yarn.
Hi there, all the best for 2018. I have been keeping track of the weather in your part of the world. Freezing temps all around, and Niagara Falls has frozen over too. That is very very cold. Best to stay indoors and hibernate.
We are of course having a heatwave at the moment, and it is beyond hot each day. Just as you await Spring, I await fall. Having such hot summers makes me love winter even more.
I do love the green yarn I got. The colour is amazing. I think you are thinking about green and spring. 🙂 You get such stunning shades of greens.

My buddy really surprised me, specially with the yarn. I want to make something very pretty with it, just for me. It is so soft and the colours are so delicate.
I can’t take my eyes off that yarn – I can almost feel how soft it is, I’m sure!
