Even though it should be Fall here, it is still stunning weather, with warm and sunny days. The weekend was perfect, and being outside and enjoying the sunny weather was delightful.
I did however work a lot on the Blues Blanket, and completed the final round, in a pretty grey colour “Fog”. And as it should happen, I ran out of yarn, less than 3 squares to go. Lucky for me the LYS has stock, and I need to drop by for a bit more.
But that gave me time to finish my Tanis Triangular shawl. I did stop the lacy edge shorter than the pattern, and I am still very pleased with it. It is already blocking. I may have to wait a bit before wearing it, as Fall is not really here yet. Today is a stunning 30 degrees Celsius here, very hot still.
I may just knit another one of these, with the bigger lace edge, it is an absolutely stunning pattern, and it knits so extremely quickly and easily.
Your squares are so pretty! I’m glad you can get more yarn. It’s so frustrating to run out.
Your shawl is stunning!
Thank you very much. Loved this shawl pattern, it is an easy and pleasant knit. Would love to knit it again.
I got the yarn, and quickly finished the last 3. Now onto the joining. 🙂
Have a great week. Enjoy!
Shawl is gorgeous! Glad too you can get more yarn – still frustrating to have to wait when you’re three squares from finished 😦
Thank you so much. The shawl is such an easy knit, and you can knit anytime, watching tv or traveling as well. Would like to knit it again.
Got the yarn, and finished those last 3, now onto the joining of the lot. 🙂
Have a great week and lots of pleasant walks. 🙂 xx
Well done – looking forward to seeing them all sewn together 🙂 Damp again here today. LH has taken Hicks out so I can have a good walk with my friend and her dogs – so will be damp but fun 🙂 Hope you’re having a good week in the sun xx
Damp walks are fun too, specially if you come home to a lovely hot coffee or tea. And I know the dogs don’t mind, they just enjoy the fresh air regardless. 🙂
Enjoy and I am sending you happy sunshine from here.
Thanks for the sunshine – I’ll let you know when it turns up. Yes, damp is often good as it’s nice and cool for the dogs to enjoy their walks more. Just not so good for HRH’s arthritis. But my friend’s dogs are younger and will be tearing around 🙂
Such pretty pieces! No matter how hard I try, I can only crochet a chain, nothing else.
Please kiss that sweet doggie for me. 🙂
Thank you so much. I was taught to crochet by my Granny, and she was an excellent teacher. Her work was always super fine and neat. She was very patient with teaching, but liked it neat and well done. I taught my daughter, but I am not so strict. 🙂 She loves to crochet too.
Will kiss the doggie too, she gets lots of hugs and kisses when I get home in the afternoons. 🙂
Have a great day. xx
that’s too bad about running out of yarn – so close! Glad you can easily get more. 🙂 The shawl looks beautiful! You did a really nice job with that one!
Thank you so much. I will knit the shawl again, the plain knitting of the body of the shawl is easy and I could watch tv and take it with me. 🙂 Just great.
🙂 I did get yarn, and finished the last 3 squares, and started joining them now. I am pretty pleased with the progress so far.
Have a great week. 🙂 Take care and enjoy.
can’t wait to see that blanket! glad you were able to get the yarn. yes, stockinette can be a wonderful thing.
Thank you so much. I am loving the blanket too. Not long now!! 🙂 Definitely before the winter.
when am sure you will put it to good use. 🙂
I just love those little squares you are making. So glad that you will be able to get more yarn to finish. I can’t wait to see you assemble all those lovely squares. I definitely need to get started on some squares of my own. I have never done anything like that. I do have yarn and a pattern waiting for me, though. Your shawl is beautiful and will be lovely to wear on a chilly evening. The colors are just gorgeous! Great job! Have a wonderful crafty week 🙂
Thank you so much. I should have crocheted a blanket a long time ago, rather than knit one. A knitted blanket is still on my to do list, but the crochet is just going so much faster. 🙂 I had a good laugh when I ran out of yarn, as it also called “fog” and I immediately thought of your embroidery “London Fog” running out. 🙂
I started joining last night, and it is working up pretty fast. Then for some ideas on the border.
Happy stitching, and have a great week.
The shawl it very beautiful. Enjoy you warm fall.
Thank you so very much. Indeed its pretty hot still, and we are making the most of it. However it may promise a very cold winter. 🙂
Happy crafting.
The plain body of the shawl lets the lacy border stand out even more, it is truly stunning! I love the shades of blue in your squares, too, it promises to be a beautiful blanket. Glad to hear that the hot weather is continuing for you. It’s warming up nicely here now although we’re talking 13 Celsius rather than 30!
Thank you so much. It really is a lovely pattern, and the plain body makes for very easy knitting while watching tv or traveling.
I have done all the squares and are now joining. I should have crocheted a blanket much sooner, rather than try and knit one. 🙂
I think I would actually prefer your 13 degrees, the 30’s around here is maybe just a bit to hot for this time of the year! 🙂
Have a great week.
Your shawl is stunning and your going to love that blanket when the temps do drop
Thank you, I love the shawl. 🙂 Indeed will have a blanket this winter. 🙂
