Its been pretty quiet on the homefront here lately. I caught a nasty case of Bronchitis, and was “ordered” to stay home and rest.
So to pass the days and get the rest I needed to get this nasty bug out of my system, I spent my time with the really cool gang of Chicago Fire. I binge-watched the series, which is awesome, and I worked on some small projects that I could put down any time when I fell asleep, and just pick up again without much effort. I crocheted a small colourful doily, and finished a small knitted project bag, that I lined with some pure linen.
I also had the time to finish my Autumn colours scarf, which I think turned out pretty neat. It is a colour that I adore, and I can see myself wearing it very often during the winter months. This colour reminds me a lot of the changing leaves during Autumn. Just too pretty to not have around during the whole winter as well.
Oh dear, hope you’re on the mend now – curling up with a boxed set on the tv is the best way to sit out an illness like this, I think, and if you’re up to a bit of crafting too, even better!
Thank you. The rest helped and I am feeling much better already. 🙂
Being ill is such a bore and I hope you feel better now! You made three absolutely stunning goodies!!! I love everything in this post!!! The bag is adorable!!!
Thank you so much. Yes, I am already feeling much better, the rest sure did help. 🙂
Great projects I hope you are feeling better soon that doesn’t sound like fun
Thank you very much. The rest has helped and I am already feeling much better. 🙂
Beautiful doilies, hope you feel better soon
Thank you very much. 🙂 Yes, starting to feel much better already, the rest and relaxation helped a lot. 🙂
Good😊
Bronchitis! The worst! Glad you made something of it…
🙂 Not the best, I totally agree. It is “Yuk” but the rest helped and I am making good progress, feeling a lot better already. 🙂
Sorry to hear you’ve been unwell, but great to see you managed to fit some lovely crafting in as well as your box set 🙂 Hope you’re feeling heaps better now.
🙂 Thank you!! Feeling a lot better already. The rest made all the difference and I am recovering fast each day. 🙂
Hope you’re feeling much better! love all your projects but especially the crochet doily 🙂
Thank you. It was fun to make, despite being under the weather. I am feeling a lot better, I thing the rest made all the difference. 🙂
Nice work. Hope you’re feeling better soon.
Thank you so much. I am feeling a lot better already, and I think being able to just rest has helped a lot. 🙂
That’s good 🙂
I’m sorry to hear you’re not feeling well and hope you’re up and around very soon. Beautiful job on the Autumn scarf and all the projects you were able to finish.
Thank you so much. I did make the most of the time at home, and did little projects which I could “doze off” on. 🙂
Feeling much better already. Nothing like a bit of good rest to recover.
And I think the weather is adding to it. Today is a stunning summer morning, and I so wish I could go and sit outside and knit and enjoy it. Soon now…… 🙂
So sorry to hear that you have been sick. I do hope that you were able to get some good rest and are feeling much better now. Sounds like you made really good use of your down time. The doily is absolutely gorgeous! I applaud anyone that can crochet with such small thread and you did an awesome job. Love the colors, too. So bright and cheerful. Especially on this gray, dreary day here in Michigan. Your Autumn scarf is so pretty and I agree that it will be lovely in winter too. The project is so sweet! I wonder what you will put inside…
Thank you. Feeling much better already, it is amazing what some rest can do. 🙂
Thank you for the kind words on my crochet. I have crocheted since I can remember, and when my grandmother taught me, the cottons was even more delicate. She was a very good teacher. I still love to crochet and I really should do more.
The project bag is just about big enough for mittens or socks or a cowl. 🙂 perfect for something small.
Hope your weather is getting better, saw some coverage on the tv here about some storms in the USA. Take care and stay warm. 🙂
Glad to hear that you are feeling better. Things just aren’t the same when you are under the weather. That is nice you have fond memories of your grandmother teaching you to crochet. My Step-Mom taught me and I cherish those memories, too. The weather here has turned cold. Last weekend we received 11 inches of snow 😦 We had a couple of nice days last week in the 50’s, so it has all melted now. Yay! I’ll take the cold over snow any day.
I loved the days I could spend with my grandmother. She could do just about anything. I suppose living on a farm, it makes it necessary. We spent many school holidays on the farm, and I loved it.
Glad to hear the snow has melted, although I am a “snow person” in my heart. I know its cold and messy, but when living in a hot country, you love it. 🙂
Stay warm there, winter is settling in now it seems. Take care and happy crafting.
Goodness… even when you’re not feeling well, you still knit like a machine! I hope you’re feeling back to your usual healthy self 🙂 ♥ ❤
Thank you. Back to my normal self. I can many things but sitting still or not keeping my hands busy is definitely not one of them. 🙂
And that’s the one good thing we all hope to not be able to do! 🙂 ♥ ❤
