Fall is settling in beautifully around here, and I am planning to enjoy the last comfortable days before the winter arrives.
I am planning to get some crafting done before the really colder days, and this is one of the projects I am planning to work on before its to cold for the fingers to work nicely, and only want to knit or crochet. 🙂 Or even less, like just sitting with a cup of tea and a book or magazine.
(got the pretty kit and floss as a give-away) floss all rolled and ready to start. Need to be able to work during the day when the light is good, as it is getting darker earlier now and needlework (for me) is limited to daylight. 🙂
Wow that is stunning.
Thank you very much. 🙂
That is gorgeous!!
Thanks so very much. 🙂
Very pretty, but i can see you need good light for all those close shades!
Thank you. Very true, and the light is fading earlier now with winter here. But I will do a few stitches daily and soon have a bit of progress. 🙂
Hi Joey… Can you tell me the brand of the cross-stitch project? And also, is it to be framed? It’s gorgeous!
Jo
Hi there. It was a swap package gift that I received from a buddy in Canada. The kit is Flower Fairies (Sweet Pea Fairies) Cicely Mary Barker. Unfortunately I dont have more info. Hope you find it online maybe. I am not sure if I want to frame it, or use it for something else, like maybe a little pillow to show off.
Thanks for the info… I’ve looked online, and some people have made chair seats out of the cross stitch, which would be nice. A pillow would be great, too. I haven’t done cross stitch in so long, but love it.
You are most welcome. I have not done for some time as well, and can not wait to get started. Hoping soon at least.
I like small pillows, they tend to always find their way home with me. 🙂
This is so pretty! I love the pastel-like colored threads used. Nice work and looking forward to seeing more cross-stitches projects from you 🙂
Thank you. I wish I had more time to stitch, but I need good natural light, as I battle in the evenings with the electric lights. So stitching is less than knitting and crochet. 🙂 But when the days are good and I can relax, I always grab my embroidery first.
Hoping to do a lot more, that is for sure.
